Terms of service

These are the terms under which we accept reservations.

A reservation request is an invitation to treat. The reservation is binding once the lodge confirms availability and the deposit clears.

Acceptance

Submitting an enquiry confirms that the lead guest has read these terms and accepts them on behalf of every named guest in the party.

The lodge reserves the right to decline a reservation at its discretion. A declined reservation triggers a full refund of any deposit paid.

Rates and currency

Rates are quoted per person per night in South African Rand. The lodge applies the rate band that matches the season of the arrival date.

A South African Resident discount applies year-round subject to a hard floor of R 5 000 per night per guest. Proof of residency is required at check-in.

Cancellations and refunds

A cancellation more than sixty days before arrival receives a full refund of the deposit. A cancellation between thirty and sixty days before arrival forfeits the deposit. A cancellation inside thirty days forfeits the full booking value.

The lodge recommends comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical evacuation, and personal effects.

Liability and indemnity

The lodge accepts no liability for loss, injury, or damage to person or property except where caused by gross negligence on the part of the lodge or its employees.

Guests participate in lodge activities at their own risk. Activities run subject to weather and the safety judgement of the activity lead.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal Local Division, Durban.
