Rates and inclusions
Rates are quoted per person sharing per night in South African Rand, on a full-board basis; the battlefield tours are priced separately.
Included
- All mealsThe rate basis is full board — breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner — taken communally in the dining room or out on the deck.
- Teas and coffeesTeas and coffees through the day are named on the inclusion list at both the Lodge and the Guest House.
- Local drinks at the LodgeThe Lodge rate includes local drinks; the Guest House inclusion list carries meals and teas but not drinks.
- Melvill and Coghill grave walkA guided walk to the graves of Lieutenants Melvill and Coghill, fifteen minutes from both houses, is named on the inclusion list.
- Unguided reserve trailsThere is no charge for unguided walks across the reserve; maps and water come from reception.
- Wi-FiWi-Fi is included at both the Lodge and the Guest House.
Extra
- Battlefield toursThe Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift tours are billed per person and cover transport, entrance fees, and refreshments.
- Community and conservation levyR 250 per adult and R 110 per child under 12 per day, split between the Khula education project and the reserve.
- Drinks at the Guest HouseThe Lodge rate carries local drinks; the Guest House list does not.
- Guided walksGuided nature walks are billed per person; the Melvill and Coghill grave walk stays in the rate.
- Laundry, flights, and transfersBilled separately per the lodge terms.

- Rates run in two date bandsThe lower band holds from 1 May to 31 July; the rest of the year prices higher.
- Children 3 to 11 pay a flat child rateThe rate is set per night and per season.
- The lodge recommends 3 nightsA 1-night guest arrives before 13:00 to join the afternoon tour.
- Dietary needs are catered with advance notice
